- BIFFs - acronym. - [bif] - Stands for “Best Internet Friends Forever”. A group of chicks and one token guy ranging in ages from 22 to 42, from all over the country and provinces of Canada as well as Germany, who met via RSM’s comment section. Collection of generally potty-mouthed bloggers who share ideas, problems, achievements and horrific Flickr photos via e-mail. Often accused of being “clique-y” and “oh so high school”.
- back handspring - A “blind-entry” trick. A tumbling skill where the tumbler rapidly extends the legs and springs backwards, opening the upper shoulders/ back, and swinging the arms hard and fast toward the floor, the hands land on the ground and arms are used to support the tumbler while his/her legs complete an arc over the body. Scary to watch, especially when the person performing this move is your kid.
- Bling Bling the Spirit Bear - n. - [bling-blingth
uh spir-it bair] - Cute, squishy teddy bear loved by all-star cheerleaders all over the state of Texas. Invented by accident when one of the proprietors of the company ordered the wrong teddy bears and needed a way to market them to sell. This bear ended up being the hottest. seller. ever. causing said proprietor much grief and many hours of painstakingly applying rhinestones to teeny, tiny bear t-shirts. Now available in 3 sizes. - Cult of Gaz - n. [kuhlt ohv gahz] - Group of girls in CE’s neighborhood that want do everything CE’s daughter Gaz does. They want to dress like her, talk like her, do what she does and listen to what she listens to. Endless source of amusement for MEH. Annoys Gaz.
- flipping - n. [flip-ing] - backwards tumbling.
- html savant - n. [ach-tee-em-el sa-vahnt] - a technically retarded person with an exceptional skill or talent in html coding. see: CE.
- lock-in - n. - [lok-in] - An heavily chaparoned overnight slumber party at a recreational facility in which a group of kids are entertaind by playing various games, contests and movies. Includes, pizza, juice boxes, soda, cake, candy, prizes and drama. Typically involves the kids staying up until about 2 hours before their parents are scheduled to pick them up, much to the chagrin of the chaparones. Costs about $30 per child. Is always fun.
- mentalness - n. - [ ment-l-nes] - Severe emotional distress experienced by cheerleaders when learning a new tumbling skill/trick. Most likely to occur with skills where the cheerleader is attempting to perform a “blind entry” trick. Awareness and education of this syndrome brought to light by the 2006 Lifetime series Cheerleader Nation. Fall out from this disorder can cause parents of victim to take insane measures to cure its effects.
- whip - n. [hwip] - Kind of like a back handspring with no hands executed in the pike position. Scary.
- throw - v. [throh] - slang - To perform a tumbling skills, usually a blind entry skill. Use: OMG! Her tumble pass is sick! She threw like three doubles!
